Vitamin B3 (niacinamide), one of the essential vitamins for normal body function, also provides numerous benefits to our skin when applied topically. There have been lots of studies to indicate its multifunctional benefits in anti-aging. Another 8-week study tested 4% niacinamde application on wrinkles around eye areas showed marked improvement in wrinkle reduction.

An 8-week study of niacinamide 4% gel demonstrated comparable efficacy to 1% clindamycin in the treatment of acne vulgaris.

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) regulates cell metabolism and regeneration. Clinical study involving niacinamide at 5% strength has been shown to produce anti-aging effect. It is also well tolerated without stinging sensation. If you plan to add vitamin B3 into your skincare routine, look for products with clinical strength of 5%.
