What is Lysine?
Lysine is an amino acid (building block of protein) that plays an important role in producing enzymes and hormones and formation of bones and muscles. Our body cannot synthesize lysine. We have to obtain from food and supplements.
L-Lysine has been shown to reduce the recurrence of herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections (eg. cold sores) by maintaining the lysine to arginine ratio in the system.
HSV are known to utilize L-arginine in their replications, and hence, they thrive in environment high in arginine. L-lysine is able to inhibit the uptake of L-arginine to limit the outbreak of infection.

Suggested Use:
Adults - Take 2 capsule 1-3 times per day, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
Caution:
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; or if you are following a low protein diet.
